I'm a mover/shaker, teacher of yoga, holder-of-space for Ecstatic Dancers and a giver of awesome hugs (it's true, just ask Jayla) *Pictured above
My amazing friend and guide Jennifer, introduced me to Baptiste yoga a little over a year ago. I was immediately hooked on both the strength I found in my body and the thought-provoking way of Baptiste teaching that really - REALLY - got me to dig deep inside. I even remember the class that lit the fire for me to sign up for Baptiste Level One. It was a sweaty class in Jen's converted kitchen/yoga studio. What stood out to me the most were the endless invitations to drop my 'story' about why I couldn't do this or that and be present with how my body was feeling and responding in that moment. (If you know me, you know body awareness is my #1 thang to geek out on!)
Before I sat up from Savasana (the final pose in yoga), I felt tears start welling up and a beautiful feeling of "exposed" and "peaceful" accompanied by a knowing that I needed to share this feeling with other people. Through this practice and the guidance from Baptiste's language/cuing/sequencing, I was able to reach something inside that left me feeling hungry yet fulfilled. I wanted and needed more. I spoke with Jen (who is the ONLY certified Baptiste teacher in Tampa Bay), went over options for Baptiste Level One and made the decision to commit to myself (and you!)
I'm asking my tribe for help in making this new dream of sharing this practice come true.

Donations have been a HUGE part of why I have been able to do what I've done over the past two years around Tampa. From my experience, the average donation ranges from $5-20 for a yoga class, the most common being $10. An average price for a class in a studio is between $13-20.
I'm grateful for ANY support you are able to gift. I've also received so much support for my other offerings that I know, that I know, that I know - that if I am meant to go to this training, the funds will be provided. #secondcertifiedinTampa
P.S. Any funds gifted in excess to my goal will be used towards future trainings. #leveltwo
