Send Lakelyn to Disney
Doação protegida
We wanted to provide everyone an update. Regarding Lakelyn. She is currently undergoing pinpoint intense radiation treatment at the Children’s Hospital Center located in Washington D.C. for the next 6 weeks. She has been a strong little girl facing each day with strength and a can do attitude.
We are also excited to let all of you know, that the family has received an anonymous donation of accrued Disney Points which will cover in full their hotel stay during their time at Disney. With that being said, we are adjusting the amount need to $5,000 dollars which will cover the family’s ticket prices for the various internal venues during their stay.
Please continue to keep Lakelyn and her family in your prayers and please open your hearts and consider donating to help send this young lady to Disney.
Lakelyn Draheim is a vibrant 4-year old who was recently diagnosed with stage 4 Diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma (DIPG) brain tumor. DIPG is highly aggressive and difficult to treat. It occurs in an area of the brainstem (the lowest, stem-like part of the brain) called the pons, which controls many of the body's most vital functions, such as breathing, blood pressure, and heart rate. DIPG has a zero survival rate.

Children with DIPG typically experience double vision, loss of balance and clumsiness, weakness in the arm and legs, nausea and vomiting, headaches (especially in the morning) and difficulty with speaking, chewing and swallowing. As the tumor progresses, it also interferes with breathing and heart rate.
This morning the Bikers Without Borders Foundation met with Lakelyn’s family to discuss their wishes to send Lakelyn and her family to Disney. One hundred percent of the money raised will be used for their trip to include but not limited to travel, accommodations and various theme park venues.
The money raised would be deposited into the Community Foundation of The Eastern Shore (CFES), which is a 501c3 nonprofit, with a check being distributed to the family.
Please open your hearts and help send Lakelyn to Disney!
