The LaGuardia High School Jazz Orchestra has been invited to Copenhagen, Denmark to spend Spring Break (April 3–13, 2026) collaborating with Sankt Annæ Gymnasium, Denmark’s premier upper secondary school of music. This exciting opportunity continues a growing tradition of international cultural exchange between the two schools. Last spring, Sankt Annæ’s youth Big Band traveled to New York City for a wonderful collaboration — and now it’s LaGuardia’s turn to visit, study, and perform alongside their Danish peers.

This exchange began in 2023 and has already proved transformative for our students — not only musically, but personally. Thanks to the generosity of past donors, the Jazz Orchestra’s 2024 trip to Denmark became an unforgettable experience that broadened horizons, built lifelong friendships, and inspired a deeper love of music across cultures. Now, we’re asking for your help once again to make the 2026 exchange possible.

Funds raised will directly support the LaGuardia Jazz Orchestra’s trip to Copenhagen and Aarhus, help cover the costs for teacher chaperones, and provide financial assistance so that every student, regardless of economic background, has the chance to participate.
