Send Kelli on a Medical Mission!

Hi! My name is Kelli, and I'm a Block 3 nursing student. I've been invited to participate in a medical mission in Belize in August of 2023! This once-in-a-lifetime opportunity is scheduled for August 5th-12th, 2023, and includes multiple days of pop-up healthcare clinics in and around Belmopan, Belize. I will have the opportunity to work with other nursing students and doctors from across the US to provide care to the residents of Belmopan and the surrounding area. This opportunity will give me incredible real-world experience and help my resume by making me more competitive in the workforce upon graduation and passing the NCLEX. However, the cost of the trip isn't in my budget.

The trip costs $3600, with the first $900 due April 1st and the remainder due June 1st. The trip includes my flights from Dallas to Belize City and back to Dallas, ground transportation to Belmopan, lodging, food (except for travel days), any extracurricular activities, and international medical insurance.

What is NOT included are flights to/from DFW (I do not live in DFW and will need to fly there), visa/passport expenses, additional travel insurance, meals on travel days, and any other miscellaneous expenses outside of what is covered above, which is why I'm looking to raise a total of $4250. Anything left over will go directly to other school expenses.
