Send Juliet Muema to the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow 2026!

Donation protected
To compete in Glasgow, Juliet needs a specialised racing bike—a tandem bike, specifically designed for visually impaired athletes. This bike is not just a piece of equipment; it’s the key to competing on a level playing field. In tandem cycling, Juliet rides with a sighted “pilot” in the front, enabling her to participate in international competitions safely and effectively. However, adaptive sports equipment is limited and costly in Kenya where Juliet lives, works and trains. In fact, Juliet’s bike must be purchased from overseas.

With your support, Juliet can acquire this essential tandem bike and cover shipping and related costs so that she can be Prepared for Glasgow 2026.

Your contribution will not only help her get to the Commonwealth Games but will also show the world the strength and resilience of athletes with disabilities. Every donation brings her closer to the start line, closer to inspiring others, and closer to proudly representing her country and all Paracyclists on the world stage.

A Message from Juliet:
"Hi, I’m Juliet Muema, a proud Kenyan Para triathlete with a big dream: to represent my country at the upcoming Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, 2026! My journey has been full of challenges, yet every step has made me stronger and more determined to make Kenya proud. As a visually impaired mother of three, I’ve worked hard to overcome significant physical limitations to reach the level I’m at today.

Recently, I qualified for the Paris Olympics, an experience that was both exhilarating and deeply disappointing. Due to resource constraints and the high cost of required specialised equipment, I was unable to realise my dream of competing in the Olympics. This disappointment has only strengthened my determination to succeed at the Commonwealth Games and to show my children and community that, with resilience anything is possible.

My commitment to this path was further solidified when I spoke at the Justice for Women Lecture series in Maine, where I had the opportunity to meet advocates and supporters who believe in building an inclusive world. Their encouragement and belief in me renewed my passion for sports and advocacy, showing me the profound impact that representation can have for athletes with disabilities."

Thank you for being part of this journey. Together, we can demonstrate the power of determination and inclusion!
