Send Joshua King to 2024 World Junior Ultimate Championships

Hi all,

I’ve been selected to be in the Great Britain U20 squad at the Ultimate Frisbee World championships this summer (20 -27 July). Thank you very much to everyone who donated two years ago when I raised funds for the U17 European Championships in Poland, which was made possible by all the generous donations then, and was a wonderful experience.

Since then I’ve been playing much more Ultimate, including a cycle with GB U20 last year where we placed 4th in Europe, and playing with my club team in Bristol, where we placed 17th in Europe last September. All of the trips and the long commutes to training have become quite costly, so I am reaching out to you, my friends, family and community to see if you are able to help me..

The tournament this summer will cost around £1200, and any donations would help to reduce the financial burden. Any gift, however small, would be amazing! Thank you for taking the time to read this.

The tournament is being held in Birmingham this summer, so if you live nearby it could be a fun experience or a good way to see your support in action (you will have to buy a day/week pass but they aren’t expensive). Some of the games from the tournament will also be live-streamed on ultiworld.com (more details in regards to this will be available closer to the time).
