The bullet points:
- Joshua is going to Wales for grad school: documentary photography is the name of the game.
- He wants to raise half the tuition as a deposit before departure.
- There are reward levels if that's your jam.
Hello family and friends! (And, perhaps for some unknown reason, random strangers who've happened upon this page…)
I have been accepted to the master's program for documentary photography at the University of South Wales in Cardiff, and want your help to secure my spot in the program.
Your mission: raise $8,000 within the next two months to cover the deposit – around half of the total tuition. In the meantime I'll be seeking scholarships and payment plans to reduce total cost, and once the term begins loans will cover the rest (including living expenses). The program lasts 10 months; it’s both quicker and less expensive than earning an equivalent degree here in the States, and will make me eligible to teach at the college level in my field.
If we can hit a stretch goal of $12,000 I'll add one more life goal into the plan and set out to walk the 500-mile Camino de Santiago pilgrimage in Spain, and bring you along the journey to share the adventure via updates (and other potential rewards!).
I’ve put this goal on hold for years, had some successes and failures in the interim, and value any financial help you can offer to help me along the way in this new enterprise.
