As a kid we all have dreams, but for some those dreams are hard to come by.
Josh Maxin is a senior at Hopewell High School and has down syndrome. But Josh always looks on the bright side and never lets anything get ahead of him with his amazing sense of humor and smile.
Josh is a part of the Hopewell Special Olympics Bocce Team as well as attends BCRC (Beaver County Rehabilitation Center). But what Josh is most well known for is for being a part of the Hopewell Vikings Pride Marching Band Drumline.
Any time that boy comes down on the field all you can hear are people screaming his name while he shakes along with his tambourine. Or when the drumline goes over to the student section for drumline time he walks with the biggest pip in his step to get to the students. He puts the biggest smile on anyone's face.
Josh is a four-year band senior and hasn't been to the past 3 band trips due to financial issues. With being such an amazing family and the impact Josh has left on the Hopewell School District I think we should give him an amazing senior year and help send him to Disney World with the band.
