Support Josephine Chi's family at this time.

Donation protected
This is a plea for financial donation to help support the family  Josephine Chi left behind. Josephine passed away on 3 April 2019 in hospice after battling breast cancer for over 4 years that had metastasized to her bone. Josephine managed her disease and the associated pain and suffering very privately and sought to shield everyone from this horrendous illness that she was dealing with.

Josephine Chi was born in Akum, in the Northwest Region of Cameroon. She completed her primary education in Akum and then went to  Longla Comprehensive College where she earned her Ordinary Level Certificate and later her Advance Level Certificate from CCAST Bambili. Josephine went on to the University of Buea where she earned a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Accounting. After graduating from Buea, she worked at Royal Financial Services (ROFEC) before immigrating the United States in 2001.

Josephine was not married but she leaves behind two biological kids, Joel and Joyce who are 11 and 9 years respectively as well as many foster children. She previously lost 4 of her older siblings who left behind many children. In addition to taking care of her mother, Josephine also took upon the task of providing for her nephews and nieces. She made sure that they had everything they needed to succeed. She also made sure to provide for all of their needs. Josephine made use of every available opportunity to ship clothes, school and medical supplies to her family. Her kindheartedness was not only limited to her close family. She has also helped so many other people both in Cameroon and in the USA.

Josephine was the pillar, the bulldozer and the lioness among her mother’s children. She took upon a lot and ensured that her family was well taken care of. She leaves behind her mother, two brothers and three sisters, one of whom is her twin. We pray that God should show the family the way so that the many children under her care may continue with their education next academic year.

Please consider supporting Josephine's family during this difficult time. Every contribution will go a long way. The Kansas City community and the  Akum community in the USA are working with Josephine’s immediate and extended family to send Josephine’s remains back to Cameroon and ensure that her Children are doing fine.
