Dear Family and Friends,
I greet you with excitement and great news! As most of you may know or may not know of, I have been acting since the age of 8 years old, represented by Atlanta Models & Talent, INC., in pursuit of expanding professional acting performance opportunities for myself. Within a matter of a month, I auditioned for the IMTA (International Modeling and Talent Association) Competition. After endless late night weekly acting coaching classes yearly and frequent auditions and a few on set filming opportunities, God has really begun to open up many doors for me. After going through the audition process, I was selected to attend the IMTA Competition next month, July 14-19 in New York City.
The International Modeling and Talent Association (IMTA) is a professional association of the finest and most successful modeling and talent training centers in the world. Since 1987, IMTA has become the recognized leader in putting new faces in front of the people whose business it is to identify the next rising star or supermodel. An impressive, and constantly growing, list of people who were first seen at IMTA conventions are now seen in magazines, TV, movies and fashion shows.
IMTA produces multiple week-long conventions, including one in New York and Los Angeles, consisting of modeling, acting, singing, songwriting and dancing competitions. Hundreds of fashion and talent agents, personal managers, casting directors, network representatives and music producers judge IMTA competitions while searching for new models, actors, singers and dancers to work in the fashion and entertainment industries.
This program offers me the opportunity to act and model in talent competitions designed to showcase my potential, look and ability. Master classes and seminars with world-renowned industry professionals in the field, an individually tailored program suited to my needs and interests as an actor and a warm and supportive community where enduring friendships and mentoring relationships flourish where each talent is valued and encouraged.
As of, June 13, 2019, I have raised $2,349.
We are being pressured by my director meet my goal of $2,200 by July 1st and the remainder $3,300 by July 10th, I am asking for sponsors to pledge $100 or whatever you possibly can! PLEASE SHARE MY LINK WITH YOUR FAMILY, FRIENDS, COWORKERS, STRANGERS...EVERYONE!!!
Most young boys of diversity at my age in my community being raised by a single mom as I am are struggling to find their passions and true identities while battling not to conform to societies statistical images and blockages placed upon them. I refuse to settle nor will I quit! I’m a rising 10th grader, currently homeschooled A/B average student. Along with pursuing my professional acting career, I am also a 6th year experienced squash player ranking 2nd overall on the A+ Squash Team. I’m also involved weekly meetings and community service with my church mentoring organization “Boys ll Men - Raising King’s” at Mt.Ephraim Baptist Church under the direction of Associate Minister Rev. Quint Steverson.
I am grateful for any sacrifice that you are willing to make on my behalf. I have set up this GoFundMe Account which allows you make deposits through a secure site online similar to PayPal.
Once again I thank you in advance for any monetary donations and most of all your prayers. Your prayers, words of wisdom and advice mean more to me than any amount of money I could ever receive and I would be remised if I did not tell you that. Thank you once again for all that you do. I pray that God blesses you tenfold as you have blessed me.
Much Love,
Jayden Griffin
