William Kingston Jacob Bell II started dribbling a soccer ball at the age of 5 and has flourished in the sport beyond what we thought he would. This is because basketball and mathematics seem to be his love, he started dribbling a basketball without looking at it or slapping at it at the tender age of 18 months. We enrolled him in basketball at the Local YMCA and instantly he was the best player in the gym. He was a very unselfish player out the gate, he would pass up on open shots for himself to pass to a teammate for a better shot. The next season the YMCA did not offer basketball and we wanted Jacob to stay active and experience another sport so we enrolled him in soccer, a sport we knew little about. Well he took off with it and dominated, he seem to be the fastest and smartest kid out there. Jacob would dribble through the ‘bee hive’ for break away after break away. Later he would do it and wait for a teammate to pass to for the score. He thrived on setting his team mates up for better shots on goal. Before long we sent him to soccer training with David Dinh at Forza Championes and Jacob began playing at Round Rock Soccer Association in the rec program. He has played up 1-2 years every season and in 3 years has only lost 3 league games, had several tournament wins and a few losses including 3v3 tournaments. Along the way the team has added some quality talent and now he plays on 2 teams; 07 Academy and 06 D1 Select team both undefeated in league play to date. This young man has been able to do all this while being a good kiddo and great student. He is always trying to help others and loves his family and God. Jacob follows his own path that the good Lord has set out for him. Jacob now 9 years old, has been invited the past few years to go to Holland and Germany several times to train and play in tournaments, but we were just not financially able to send him. Now his state side Coach Lee and Spaniard Coach Nacho have arranged for him and several of his team mates to go to Spain for training with Villarreal CF, Valencia CF, and Levante UD coaches, play friendly games, tours of clubs with all teams, cultural visit to City of Arts and Sciences, and attend Villarreal CF and Valencia CF matches. He is really excited to go and we don’t want to disappoint so we are trying to raise funds to make it happen for him.
