Hi everyone!
My name is Izaki Metropoulos, a first-generation college student completing an undergraduate degree at Williams College. There, I have been incredibly fortunate to study the Bel Canto technique under Paul La Rosa and will be pursuing a career as an operatic tenor. Above, you'll be able to view my most recent performance alongside the Berkshire Symphony Orchestra. I am humbled to share that I am the first tenor to win the Berkshire Student Soloist competition in thirty years.
Shortly after performing as Rodolfo in Williams College's production La Bohème, I was accepted into the prestigious Mediterranean Opera Studio and Festival. Taking place in Caltagirone, Sicily, MOSF offers a six-week intensive study and performance schedule featuring world-class opera singers and faculty from Julliard and the Curtis Institute of Music. There, I will be reprising my role as Rodolfo, while taking on the roles of Rinuccio in Gianni Schicchi and Borsa in Rigoletto.
While this opportunity is tremendously exciting, I currently cannot afford the program as a full-time student from a low-income background. I am humbly asking you to contribute anything you can. Any donation would mean the world to me.
My current goal is to raise $7000. $5900 for the program-- which includes voice lessons, coachings, masterclasses, and housing, and $1100 for the flight.
Additionally, please feel free if you would like to contact me for whatever reason.
Thank you all for your time, and I look forward to sharing footage from Sicily!
All the best,
Izaki
