Our Ixchel Brainin Godinez/my daughter has been invited to attend the prestigious Kirov Academy of Ballet in Washington DC for their 6 week-Summer Intensive Program after auditioning along with other talented dancers from around the world for 20-30 spots in her age category. Ixchel aspires to be an Artist, Performer, Professional Dancer. She understands the discipline and commitment it takes to be the best version of herself and is so very grateful for this magnificent opportunity. We are taking a huge leap of faith by accepting this invitation. The Summer Intensive Program (SIP) is a 6-week course with intense ballet training in the Vaganova method, along with a myriad of other dance styles to provide students with a summer of diverse education. Each day consists of up to 6 hours of dance training; classes may include ballet technique and ballet repertoire with some of the finest ballet instructors from around the world, character, contemporary/modern, pas de deux, history of ballet, nutrition, stretch and flex, and jazz.

Housing and Meals: Kirov Academy of Ballet, Washington, DC has a fully-staffed housing facility for younger students, while older students may board at a University dormitory a few minutes from the Academy. Our professional chef, nutritionist, and kitchen staff provide healthy meals and snacks for students in our cafeteria.

Field Trips to local Museums off days (Monument Night Tour, Natural History Museum, Mall, Kennedy Center, Lincoln, Art District Walk, Art Museum, River Front, White House)
