Isaiah Heins and I have been friends since high school, but it was during our two years as college roommates that our bond truly deepened. Isaiah is the kind of person you can trust with anything—he’s compassionate, thoughtful, and always goes out of his way to make others feel seen and valued. Whether it’s asking deep questions to get to know someone or sharing a laugh over our favorite shows, Isaiah brings warmth and joy to every room he enters. We’ve shared countless memories, from mission trips together to running his first half marathon side by side.

Recently, Isaiah asked me to be his best man. When I asked him what he’d want to do for his bachelor party if money were no object, he said it would be incredible to see the 7 modern wonders of the world. Traveling is one of Isaiah’s greatest passions—he’s already explored Argentina and Europe—but he knows a trip like this is a wild dream, especially as he prepares for a life of service as a pastor. Once he’s married and fully dedicated to his ministry, opportunities for adventures like this will be rare. That’s why I want to make this dream a reality for him and his groomsmen—a week-long journey to celebrate his friendship, faith, and the new chapter ahead.
