Hey everyone,
I have something important that I need all of you to take the time to read. My daughter Isabella has received a tremendous opportunity. Through her hard work, raw talent, and the love and support of her family, Isabella has been accepted to the Carnegie Hall Honors Performance Series, and invited to sing on stage at the world famous venue as part of a soprano choir. She will be sharing the stage with the best and the brightest young voices both in America and around the world. To think that my Isabella has been invited to perform on such a level is a feeling of pride and respect that I didn't think I could experience. I remember back to when I took Izzy to a NYSMA trial here in Kingston. She went in, and they closed the door (I wasn't allowed in.) The voice that came out through that door, was beautiful. Her teacher will tell you that I was there, all of my 38 years at the time, holding back tears. Thinking about it now gets me. Isabella has a truly beautiful voice, that I have enjoyed on car rides home, with our sing-a-longs to Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody" and to Johnny Cash and other classics.
This girl has talent, and she has heart, and she has soul. She deserves every opportunity her voice can afford her.
Any of my friends who have met Isabella, any of my family will tell you that she is one of the most important people in the world to me. They can also tell you in all honesty that I haven't always done alright by her, not as much as I would like to.
That's why I am coming to you today. Many of you reading this here may have also received it as a group message from me. I want this for her, she deserves this opportunity. However, I cannot meet the full financial responsibility of making sure she can go. Isabella is my daughter, but I also have responsibilities to my home, to Jenn, and to her kids Tristan and Kylie, who also rely on me. As much as we support and love Isabella, Jenn and I cannot afford this, not on our own.
As such, I have started this GoFundMe fundraiser. I am reaching out to friends, family and decent human beings, to give whatever they can. No donation is too small. No effort will go unnoticed. Please, take the time to click on the link and give whatever you can. Even passing this link along to friends and family who might be able to find it within their means to help is an effort. I'm going to get as much money together as I can, but with every little bit I can scrape together, and whatever kind donations we receive, I know we can get Izzy there.
The break down of the payment schedule is tight, and right smack in the middle of the holiday season, but I am hoping that I can make this happen for her. With the help and support of friends, family and neighbors, I know we can make this happen for her.
Thank you for you time, and if possible, your donations.
