I’ve been accepted to YWAM’s Leadership Training School (LTS) in Jeju, South Korea this summer. This is the exciting key step toward helping build a future art studio and ministry space in Kyoto for Japanese creatives.
My next urgent deadline is $2800 by April 30th for the school tuition cost.
My full goal is $5,500 for tuition, travel, and needed expenses.
Giving now, no matter amount, will help me take this next step.

Why Leadership Training?
Over the next season, I’m stepping toward a long-term vision: helping start a ministry space and art studio in Kyoto; a place where creatives can gather, build community, and be encouraged. The heart of this ministry is to love and serve Japanese artists (both believers and not), and especially to create meaningful community for Japanese artists who follow Jesus. Creative work can often be isolating, and I want this to become a space where people can create alongside others, be prayed for, and feel supported.
Over time, we also hope to host guests; artists and ministry friends from Japan and overseas. People who need a place to rest, create, and pursue what God has put on their hearts. Ultimately, we want to disciple and do life with creatives in a sustainable, long-term way.
If you want to hear me talk about the vision of Kyoto and where it all started more in depth please check out the video here:

To build this well, I need a stronger foundation in leadership, a clearer understanding of YWAM globally, and alignment with the larger YWAM Japan context. LTS is the training that will help me and my team build on a healthy foundation and set us up for long-term success.
I’ll be attending with a small team (three others): one person from YWAM Tokyo, and a couple here in YWAM Osaka — and we’re doing this together to ensure we’re unified, equipped, and ready for what’s ahead.

The urgent timeline:
Because of program deadlines and transfer times:
We were able to cover the $500 needed by March 27 for the school tuition deposit.
The remaining $2800 for the tuition needs to be sent by May 15, so I’m aiming to have it ready by May 8 to be safe.
Fundraising goal:
My goal is to raise $5,500 for the full cost of tuition, travel, and essentials to attend.
Budget breakdown:
$3,300 — LTS Tuition
- $500 due by March 27 - COVERED
- $2,800 due by May 8 (so it can be sent by May 15)
$600 — Flights (Osaka ⇄ Jeju) - COVERED (Looking for flights)
$300 — International health insurance
$200 — Transportation (airport and local transit)
$1,100 — Essentials (toiletries, stationery, small electronics/needs, any required clothing, and processing/transfer fees)

Every gift helps, Whether it’s $10 or $100, and sharing this fundraiser is just as meaningful.
Thank you for being part of this with me and taking the time to look at this page. I’m genuinely grateful, and I’ll share updates as the fundraising milestones are reached and as training begins.
With much love and gratitude,
~Ian
