Our local Howell MI First Robotics FRC team has had great success this season. We were champions of the Mason qualifier earning an invitation to the Michigan State Championship. With a finish in the top 80 at the state championship (which is highly likely, as we are currently ranked 35th in the state) we'll earn an invitation to the World Championship held in Houston, TX. Just to register our team for these 2 events will cost $10,000! So that is our goal please help us be able to send our team to these 2 exciting events.

This year, we have had exciting successes in our district events! S.C.O.T.S. Bots competed this past weekend in the Mason District Qualifier. They ended Day 1 in 25th place. They battled back on day 2 to 10th place. We were the first pick of Alliance 2. We were the District Event Winners along with Team 910 Foley Freeze, and Team 4453 The Red Hot Chili Bots. S.C.O.T.S. Bots also took home the Gracious Professionalism Award, which celebrates outstanding demonstration of FIRST Core Values such as Gracious Professionalism and working together both on and off the playing field.

Last weekend, S.C.O.T.S. Bots competed in Muskegon, finishing qualifications ranked sixth and being the Alliance 4 captains. They also took home the Engineering Inspiration Award. This award celebrates outstanding success in advancing respect and appreciation for engineering within a team’s school, organization, and community. This award allows us to interview at the Michigan State Championship.

Both of these weekends have qualified S.C.O.T.S. Bots for the State Championship. We also anticipate qualifying for the World Championship in Houston. Both opportunities are very exciting, but with these opportunities come with additional expenses.
