Send Gainesville to the Charles!

The Gainesville Area Rowing Varsity Womens 4+ has been invited to compete at The Head of the Charles, the world's largest two-day regatta. Since its inception in 1965, The Head Of The Charles Regatta has attracted hundreds of thousands of rowers to the banks of the Charles River in Boston, and GAR is proud to send five very talented girls this year.
To be invited, the boat had to show top finishes in competitions last season. Some of their highlights include:
15th overall US Rowing Youth National Championships
4th place US Rowing Southeast Regionals
3rd place FSRA Sweep State Championships
3rd place FSRA North Districts
The girls are raising funds to help cover costs to Boston, including airfare, trailer transportation and gas for their boat, and hotel fees.
It is a tremendous honor to compete in this major world regatta. Please consider helping them achieve this goal!
