Send Forest View's Odyssey of the Mind Team to Worlds!
Donation protected
We are so proud of the Forest View Elementary Odyssey of the Mind team of fifth graders! They have been working on their solution since October with weekly meetings after school, meetings on the weekends, FaceTime meetings, and more. They wrote a script, created costumes and props, made a backdrop, and practiced working together to solve spontaneous problems. They have put many sticks of hot glue, cut-up CDs and DVDs, rolls of tin foil, PVC pipes, bottles of paint, and hours of hard work into creating a humorous, original skit to solve their long-term problem.
The team won first place at regionals in Raleigh, NC and first place in the state in Jacksonville, NC for the AstronOMical Odyssey problem! Next, they will be competing with the top teams not only in the country but from around the world. They are the only team from their school and district who will be going to Worlds!
Competing in Worlds requires paying for registration, room and board in the dorms, flights, and other expenses to make the most of the experience. Any and all support is appreciated!
