Send Ezequiel to the Down Under Sports Tournament

Donation protected
My godson, Ezequiel Nevarez, has been selected to represent Mesa Vista High School in Ojo Caliente, New Mexico, in track and field at the 2026 Down Under Sports Tournament in Australia, scheduled for July 4, 2026. This incredible opportunity will allow him to compete internationally and represent both his school and the state of New Mexico. The trip will last approximately 10 days.

Ezequiel is currently seeking sponsorships and donations to help cover the costs associated with this once-in-a-lifetime experience. Expenses include travel, athlete housing, meals, uniforms, and activities organized by Down Under Sports. The total cost for the trip is approximately $6,000.

With your support, Ezequiel can turn this dream into a reality and proudly represent the small but strong Mesa Vista community on an international stage. All funds raised will go directly toward his program fees and travel expenses for the Down Under Sports Athletic Competition in July 2026.

Any contribution, big or small, is greatly appreciated. If you are unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser with others is just as meaningful. Word of mouth is one of the most powerful ways to help support young athletes. Ezequiel and I will share updates and the specific dates and times of his competitions as they become available.

About Ezequiel
Hello, my name is Ezequiel Nevarez. I am 17 years old and from El Rito, New Mexico. My parents are Ellis (Roy) Nevarez and Teresa Marquez. My grandparents are Tomas and Linda Marquez, Ellis Nevarez Sr., and the late Sylvia Nevarez. I am currently a junior at Mesa Vista High School.
I am very passionate about athletics and enjoy running track, playing basketball, and baseball. I was honored to be selected to represent New Mexico at the Annual Down Under Sports Tournament in Australia.

During my track career, I have been fortunate to achieve several milestones:

• Broke a 19-year school record in the 3200m during my sophomore year with a time of 10:30
• Broke another school record that stood for 41 years with a 16:06 time
• My 4x800 relay team set a state record of 7:26, with my individual split being 2:01
I am incredibly grateful for this opportunity and truly appreciate every donation and all the support.

Thank you for helping me represent Mesa Vista and the state of New Mexico.
