Emily goes to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival!

Hey friends, family, and fellow theatre artists!

Here's the Deal...
I’m thrilled to share some exciting news—next August I will be traveling with an incredible cast of women to the world-renowned Edinburgh Fringe Festival! We'll be performing a devised play called The Bible Women's Project (which I'm lucky to have been involved with over the past 4 or 5 years now in various forms). This piece has been close to my heart and truly instrumental in my growth as an artist since I first saw it back in 2017. I knew I needed to be involved somehow, and I was overjoyed to join the touring cast in 2019 before Covid shut down the world, along with our tour. Coming back to this show years later, and bringing it to Fringe... wow!! This is nothing short of a dream come true for me, and a once in a lifetime opportunity that I just can't pass up! However, making this dream a reality will require a bit of help from my fellow theatre community. (After all, I'm still a broke post-grad living on her own in her early 20s, so... we know how that goes).

What's the show about?
The show is a powerful exploration of women from both the Old and New Testaments, focusing on those whose stories are often overlooked or misinterpreted. It brings to light the experiences of these Biblical women while also interweaving real stories from our cast, gathered over the past decade. This dual narrative not only honors the historical figures but also connects their stories to our present-day lives. Each performance is a tribute to resilience and a celebration of women's stories that deserve recognition.

How can you help?

Donate: We’ll be leaving on August 1st and returning on the 10th, with 2 full days of rehearsal and 4 days of performances! There will also be two performances (in Boston and Newport) before we depart overseas, so local folks will get a chance to see the show before we take it to Scotland! Yay!

Flight (round trip)- approx $1,600
Airbnb (cost is per person)- $1,060
Food (10 days in Scotland) -$1,000
Total: $3,660

Anything additional will be used to buy supplies/luggage/etc for the trip.

Spread the Word: Share this fundraiser with your friends and family. The more people who know about our show, the better!

Your generosity will have a significant impact and will be deeply appreciated by me and all of us involved in the Bible Women's Project. Thank you for being a part of this incredible journey. We can’t wait to bring these stories to Edinburgh with your support!

With heartfelt gratitude,
