Now in 2024, Sylhet has been hit with yet another flood, however this time round, the situation is even more severe, and we urgently need your help again.

The Crisis:

The flood situation in Sylhet is dire. Over 738,000 people have been affected by the relentless rising waters. Entire neighbourhoods and villages are submerged, leaving countless families stranded without shelter, food, or clean water. Tragically, at least 22 lives have been lost, and the danger continues to grow every day. The Surma and Kushiyara rivers are both flowing far above their danger levels, and the relentless rains show no sign of stopping.

The floodwaters have caused widespread devastation. Homes are underwater, electricity and gas supplies are cut off, and people are struggling to survive in these harsh conditions. The immediate need for aid is critical, as the rising water levels continue to threaten more lives and properties.

Our Response:

Our team of 30 dedicated volunteers, led by our project manager Mamunur Rahman, is on the ground in Bangladesh, ready to provide essential aid to those affected. We are distributing vital aid packages that include rice, oil, dhaal, water, spices, and other essentials necessary for survival. Our volunteers are equipped with boats to reach even the most inaccessible areas, ensuring that no one is left behind.
