Send Elise, Max and Avis to NAYC in Montana!

My name is Elise Hicks, and this year at age 17 I have the honour of representing Ontario/Canada at the North American Youth Championships at Rebecca Farms in Kalispell, Montana. Competing at this level has been a dream of mine for many years, and I am very excited for the opportunity to attend with both my own 7 yr old Thoroughbred, Max Power and 14 year old Canadian Sport Horse Glendening Avis (owned by Callie Evans).  This season we spent the winter in Florida with the goal of qualifying to go to Rebecca Farms from July 24th-28th and we did it! Max and I began our Canadian season by completing our first CCI-2*L in Bromont, Quebec, finishing on our dressage score in 7th place in the U25 division as the top placed Canadian.  Avis and I began our Canadian season by winning the U25 prelim divisions at both Grandview and Wit's End. 

I have been riding since the age of 6, and competing in the equestrian sport of eventing since age 10. I am currently coached by Canadian rider Kendal Lehari. Although I live in Quinte West, I spend much of my time training in Uxbridge. 

As you can imagine, training and competing at this level comes with many expenses, and I grateful for any financial donations that can assist me on my journey. Funds will go towards the cost to transport my horses to Montana, my transportation & accommodations, entry fees and other costs such as training, apparel and tack for myself and my horse.
