Send Elias to Space Camp: A Deaf Teen's Dream

My name is Krystle and Elias is my 15 year old son. He is deaf and attends New Mexico School for the Deaf here in Santa Fe, NM. We are fundraising for him to attend a Deaf/HH camp at The Kennedy Space Center in Florida in May. He was given an opportunity of a lifetime to attend this week long camp.

The week long adventure includes space exploration, microgravity simulation, land and drive on mars simulation, plus much more!

Elias is an honor roll student and a recipient of the Elk’s Lodge Outstanding Student of the Year. Here is a letter of support from his high school principal and superintendent:

I have known Elias ever since he was a student in our Early Childhood programs. He has grown to be a polite, sweet and mindful individual with curiosity and interest in new things and ideas. Elias brightens everyone’s day and has worked as hard as he could to get to where he is now. I believe Space Camp will give him a wider breadth of experience that he needs to continue to grow.
