Send Dubside to Greenland

Donation protected
Greenland holds an annual National Qajaqing Championship to celebrate and preserve the Inuit kayaking heritage. I have attended it many times, starting in 2004. For several years I competed, then I progressed to assisting the staff of organizers with running the event. Each year a Man and Woman Qajaq Champion is determined, but it’s really all about inspiring future generations. Some of the kids I know got involved when they were 4 or 5 years old and I have watched them grow to adults. You can hear about these experiences in my podcast The Dubcast with Dubside which chronicles my life as a traditional sea kayaker, spreading the understanding and appreciation of the kayak culture of Greenland worldwide. My traveling was interrupted by COVID but I’m slowly getting back up to speed and now that I have the podcast I plan to record many interviews during my 2024 visit to Greenland. If you would like to support my efforts, please make a donation. I only need enough money to cover the airfare. Local contacts, years of accumulated goodwill, and an optimistic keep-your-fingers-crossed attitude should cover food, lodging, and everything else.
