Send Delilah to see her Dad

Joycelyn Spencer has worked in our schools for years and has helped many of our students. Her daughter Dalilah attends GSES where she brings joy to her classmates and teachers. While she did not feel comfortable asking for money, when a few of us heard about her struggles, we wanted to support. Overcome with emotion over her dad's cancer, Dalilah has been unable to get to school and has been coming to work with Joycelyn where she spends the day under her desk. This little girl needs to go see her Daddy.

From Jocelyn:
My Daughter Dalilah is a compassionate 10 year old who continues to support her father Randy in his fight against Cancer. Our family separated a few years ago, Randy resides in New Jersey while Dalilah and I continue to live in Colorado.

Last February Randy was diagnosed with stage 3 rectal cancer and colon cancer. He endured per-surgery chemotherapy and radiation which also included a colostomy bag. He now has a chemotherapy port for additional six months and has had a few more bumps along the way as his treatment continues. They talk on the phone and discuss the struggles and triumphs in her father's fight against cancer and giggle about her daily activities. They both are working through the mental and physical hardships they each encounter while separated from one another.

My GOAL was to try to get 2 airline tickets to Philadelphia, a car rental and a hotel for us.
