Help Darcy lift for Canada at Worlds!

Hi, I’m Darcy Morin (@darceski), a powerlifter from Edmonton, Alberta. I’ve competed nationally and now have the honour to represent Team Canada at the 2025 World Men’s Masters Classic Powerlifting Championships in Cape Town, South Africa, this October. I would be so grateful for this opportunity and am training and ready to go.

We don’t have the funds to make this happen by myself - my wife, Christy and I have struggled trying to figure it out by ourselves and thought we would reach out to our friends and family to see if we can get there. I’m proud to wear the Canadian flag to Worlds!

I compete in the Masters 2 (age 50–59) and 120 kg weight class, and recently took home double gold at CPU Nationals in Moose Jaw—winning both the 3-Lift and Bench Press Only events.

My best competition lifts so far:

• Squat – 265 kg

• Bench Press – 181 kg

• Deadlift – 245 kg

This sport has kept me focused, disciplined, and mentally strong. I’m thankful for all the richness and the community in this sport.

I’m raising funds to help cover travel, accommodations, equipment, and competition costs. Every bit of support gets helps me get closer to the goal and means the world to me.
