We’re the Clovis Community College Engineering Club, and we’re thrilled to be competing in the MATE ROV (Marine Advanced Technology Education Remotely Operated Vehicle) World Championships this summer in Newfoundland, Canada!
In 2024, a small team, Crush Depth, from our club of just 10 students made history by winning the World Championship title—the first for our college and our entire district. That victory marked the beginning of something incredible. Our club has since grown to over 90 active and passionate future engineers, all committed to gaining hands-on experience, earning industry certifications, and pursuing careers that make a real difference in our communities.
This year, we’re aiming even higher. We’ve been hard at work designing an advanced underwater robot with a modular electronics bay, 360° photosphere, dual manipulators, and an 8-node propulsion system for full six-degree movement—all backed by a strong business and technical model to compete with top colleges from around the world.
But we need your help to get there.
We still need to raise approximately $10,000 to fund the rest of our trip and cover essential costs like manufacturing, prototyping, and testing.
Your support will not only help us compete—it will empower us to learn, innovate, and represent the incredible talent growing right here in California’s Central Valley on an international stage.
Donations of $500 or more are eligible for a tax deduction—but only if processed through Clovis Community College (CCC), not through GoFundMe. If you're interested in making a tax-deductible contribution, please reach out to us directly before donating. If you don’t need the tax write-off, feel free to donate directly through GoFundMe.
Whether it's a donation or simply sharing our story, anything helps. Thank you for believing in our team, our dreams, and the future of engineering
