Hi everyone! My name is Conor Bril, and I'm from Troutman, North Carolina. I’m a 21-year-old student-athlete at Warren Wilson College, where I study Psychology with a Business minor and maintain a 3.4 GPA. I’ve been given an amazing opportunity through Beyond Sports Tours to travel to Japan from June 23rd to July 2nd to play lacrosse, represent my program, and experience the sport on an international level.
This experience means so much to me, not only because I’ve never left the country before, but because it’s truly a chance to grow as both an athlete and a person. The trip includes 5 days in Tokyo and 4 days in Kyoto, where I’ll be training, competing, and learning from new coaches and teammates while immersing myself in two of Japan’s most iconic cities.
Lacrosse has played a large part in helping shape who I am today, my discipline, my mindset, my ability to push through challenges and has reinforced my beliefs that hard work helps open doors that you never expect. Playing lacrosse abroad and experiencing a culture I’ve admired from afar is something I’ve dreamed about, but never imagined would actually be possible.
To make this trip a reality, I’m working to raise $6,000, which will help cover travel, lodging, team fees, meals, and transportation throughout the program. I’m doing everything I can on my own, but I could really use some support to help me get across the finish line.
I have never been someone to ask for money, but any contribution, big or small, would truly mean the world to me. Even sharing this page helps more than you know. This isn’t just a vacation; it’s a once in a lifetime opportunity to learn, compete, and proudly represent my school and community on a global stage.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read my story and for supporting me in any way you can. I’m incredibly grateful.
— Conor Bril
