Meet the Coastal Elementary Odyssey of the Mind Team!

Since October, this dedicated group has been hard at work, meeting weekly after school an on weekends to find their perfect solution. They wrote an original script, designed costumes and props, built a backdrop, and honed their teamwork skills to tackle spontaneous challenges.

All their hard work has truly paid off! This team took first place at regionals in Swansboro, NC, and then went on to win first place at the state competition in Jacksonville, NC for Division 1 Problem 3. Now, they’re gearing up to compete against the best teams—not just in the country, but from all around the world!

This marks Coastal Elementary’s first-ever appearance at the World Finals, and we couldn't be more proud!

Competing at Worlds is an incredible opportunity, but it comes with significant costs, including registration fees, room and board, flights, and other expenses to make the most of this once-in-a-lifetime experience. Any and all support is truly appreciated as we help this hardworking team reach the global stage.
