Hello!

My name's Christian, and earlier this month, I received a last-minute offer to train as an actor at my dream school, the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama.
There's just one problem... to accept the offer, I have three weeks to raise the funds before it starts at the beginning of September! Actor training has become very expensive, and unfortunately, it won’t be funded by Student Finance England. This means I’ll have to cover the £29,150 tuition fees independently. So, I have set up this fundraiser to help me secure my place and pursue the career I have dreamed of since I was a young teenager.

About Central and the Master's programme:
Central is one of the country's most prestigious drama school's having trained the likes of Judi Dench, Laurence Olivier, Andrew Garfield, French and Saunders, and Riz Ahmed, to name a few.
I have been offered a place on their MA Course: 'Master's in Acting - Contemporary.' It offers advanced and intensive actor training and would set me up to compete with others at the top of the industry, as well as connect me to a network of world-class talent and industry professionals. Admission to the course is extremely competitive, with up to 1,500 applicants for only 28 places; so it really is a one-off opportunity I can't afford to miss!
Where the money is going:
The money I raise here will go directly towards the course's fees. Living costs and subsistence will be covered by savings put aside for the course, and paid work throughout the year.

About me and Acting:
When I was twelve, I had the chance to perform in an RSC production in Stratford-upon-Avon – “Boris Godunov”. The experience gave me some of the most vivid and formative memories I have, and I've known I wanted to go into acting ever since.
However, as I've got older, my reasons have deepened. As our lives become increasingly digital and disconnected, it’s often harder to find genuine human connection and a sense of belonging. But theatre offers a rare space where people can come together, reflect, and feel seen. It can shape what we believe, how we treat others, and how we see ourselves. It can challenge us and stir debate, or it can galvanise a sense of identity and community. Perhaps most importantly, it can help us imagine and shape the future. I believe we need that now more than ever, and the theatre’s ability to foster meaningful connection will only make it more vital in the years ahead. Being part of this and creating moments that connect us is what motivates me to be an actor.

I hope you’ve been interested in hearing what I have to say, and if you are in a position to do so, I’d be deeply grateful if you contributed whatever amount you can to support me.
Many thanks and best wishes,
Christian
