Caden's ARFID Medical Fund
Our beautiful and amazing 9 year old son Caden was born via Emergency at 30 weeks because his heart started to fail. He was immediately transferred to a NICU that could handle his life threatening condition where he stayed for 23 days until he was able to breathe and eat on his own. Caden has suffered with trouble breathing (severe upper respiratory disease) and eating his entire life. 
He was diagnosed with Autism accompanied by ADHD and Sensory Processing Disorder, Anxiety and Depressive Disorder and a very severe EATING DISORDER called A.R.F.I.D. (Avoidant Restrictive Food Intake Disorder) It's just a fancy way to say he doesn't want to eat. EVER. He will avoid eating completely and has been hospitalized for it many many times. He struggles every single day. He has been in Occupational Therapy and Feeding Therapy his entire life and still nothing changes. It just gets worse and worse as he gets older. He eats 3 things. Literally.

MY DREAM goal for our child is to get Caden to the PsychoNeuroPlasticity Center in Texas for the 2 Day assessment that can help us identify exactly why he will not eat, and how we can treat it and help him. The testing costs $8,495 and must be paid up front. The deposit for the appointment is $600 and is non-refundable. As a military veteran family we cannot afford to send him and it breaks my heart.
MY DREAM is for my child to be able to eat without a panic attack; MY DREAM is to find out how to put weight on my poor baby who simply isn't growing anymore. MY DREAM IS TO HELP MY CHILD. He is underweight and underheight and I am running out of options. The next thing to do is a feeding tube and there must be something we can do before having to go that route. This horrible condition hurts everything in his life. Where we go, what we do, going to traditional school...everything revolves around his non-eating.
Please help us send Caden to the PNP Center in Lewisville, TX. I know in my heart they have to be able to help him. If anyone can....they can. I don't want my beautiful son to die because his brain won't allow him to feed his body.
