Hello Bronson friends and families,

We’re excited to share an extraordinary opportunity—three of our standout 17U Bronson soccer players have been invited to compete in the prestigious Newell’s Cup this October in Rosario, Argentina!

This tournament is one of South America’s premier youth competitions, drawing elite U17 teams from across the continent, including the U17 National Team of Venezuela. This isn’t just a game—it’s an international stage with media coverage, scouts, and professional exposure. For our young athletes, it’s the chance of a lifetime.

Last November, one of our Bronson U10 players made history when he was invited to the Newell’s Cup after his highlight video gained traction online. He became the only American on his team and just the second U.S. player ever to compete in the tournament. His performance left a lasting impression on tournament organizers—and opened the door for Bronson’s return.

Now, thanks to that impact, three of our 2009-born Bronson players have been invited back this year to represent our town in an unforgettable experience. Even more exciting, they’ll be joining a combined international squad with players from Peru and Brazil, forming the most diverse team in the tournament—truly a celebration of global unity through sport.

For those who know the game, Newell’s Old Boys is hallowed ground. Based in Rosario, Argentina, the club is known for producing legends like Lionel Messi, Gabriel Batistuta, and Marcelo Bielsa. Playing on these historic fields is more than an honor—it’s a dream come true.

This is a major moment not just for these players, but for all of Bronson. We’re a small town with big talent and bigger dreams—and this opportunity puts our community on the international soccer map.
