Send Brody West: a screen-free Journey to purpose!

My 16-year-old son, Brody, has been chosen to join an extraordinary program called Teens Westward Bound—a transformative, cross-country adventure designed to nurture resilience, responsibility, and real-life learning, all without a screen in sight.

Over the summer, Brody and his group will travel across the United States, leaving phones and technology behind. Instead, they’ll immerse themselves in different cultures, take part in daily chores, and build lifelong friendships and essential life skills through shared challenges and unforgettable experiences.

This is more than just a road trip—this is a rite of passage.

As a parent, I couldn’t be more proud of his willingness to embrace discomfort in exchange for growth. He will be away from home, responsible for pulling his weight, helping others, and journaling his journey the old-fashioned way—with pen, paper, and an open heart.

But this opportunity comes at a cost.

We need to raise $3,000 to cover the travel, food, gear, program expenses, and educational experiences involved in this incredible 6-week journey. Every dollar brings Brody closer to the road, and to the lessons that no classroom can teach.
