The Brooklyn Prospect High School Model United Nations Club is fundraising to send a passionate group of eight students and one advisor who are determined to attend the prestigious Yale Model UN conference in January. This event is typically attended by students from private and specialized high schools, but our club is working hard to make this opportunity accessible to everyone at BPHS. For many of our students, this will be their first time traveling out of state for a conference, and it represents a major step forward in their academic and personal growth.
Our club members have already proven themselves at multi-day national and international conferences in New York City, earning awards and recognition for their public speaking and problem-solving skills. The Yale conference will allow them to debate real-world scenarios, collaborate with peers from around the country, and further develop their passion for public policy and international relations. This experience will help them build confidence, leadership, and a sense of global citizenship—skills that will benefit them for years to come.
We are raising funds to cover all major expenses, including travel, lodging, and conference fees. Because BPHS is a smaller public high school, opportunities like this are not always within reach. With your support, we can ensure that every dedicated student in our club has the chance to participate. We hope to raise enough by the end of November to secure our travel and registration, and we are deeply grateful for any help you can provide.
Your contributions will be used to pay for transportation, accommodations, the price of conference attendance, and any unforeseeable emergencies that may arise.
