Anjali, Avery, Barwaaqo, Esta, Gladis, Gloire, & Stuti are all members of our Thursday lunch Book Club, called the BHS Bookies. Ms. Hearst is their Advisor.
In 2023-24, we set a goal to read 101 books as a group by the end of the year, and we met that goal! If each student contributed 10 books toward that goal, they were eligible to come with us to NYC in 2024-25…
They read over 110 books as a club last year. WOW!
And so, finally, we are cashing in our prize, and going to NYC over this February Break together for some book-loving time -- seeing the New York Public Library, going to the Strand, and more!
We're taking the train from Burlington to Penn Station in NYC, and staying two nights in a nice hostel on the Upper West Side. The cost is $400/student, and we need to fundraise this amount to get us all there!
