Benjamin Bautista Laureta Jr. was a man who was known to love his family, eating food, joking with his friends, and most importantly, was proud to be a born and raised Filipino citizen.

After coming to the US in 1988 as a teenager to support his parents, he worked hard his entire life to ensure they had a better life back in the motherland. Although he did not expect to be blessed with a big family of his own, he continued to teach the lessons he learned during his upbringing to those he cared about, always attributing his motivation to eventually make it back home after not coming back once he left However, he was diagnosed with cancer, making the last two years of his life very difficult for him and his family. He went through chemotherapy in hopes of curing his cancer, spending more time with his children, and being well enough to sustain the rest of his life in the Philippines.

That was his ultimate wish: to live the rest of his life in the Philippines, be with his siblings, eat all the street foods, walk around the malls, and try all the new buffets. Sadly, he passed away on September 12th, 2025, before he could return home.

The Laureta family requests donations to directly cover Benjamin's hospital bill, cremation costs, and fees to send him back home to the Philippines. The family is deeply grateful for any support you can give to help Benjamin rest where his heart always belonged.
