Send BCAMSC InvenTeam to MIT: Travel Funds Needed
Donation protected
Have either you or a loved one been a victim of drink spiking? The BCAMSC InvenTeam was awarded a grant in September to create a device that helps solve this problem. However, the grant only covers the creation of the device. We still need funds to transport the team to MIT later this spring. The BCAMSC InvenTeam includes 23 students and 5-7 chaperones. The students have shopped train, bus, van, and plane fares. Flight is the most practical option. The students also need transportation while in Boston and vehicle rentals for 30 people is expensive.
The BCAMSC comprises high school students from 14 Calhoun County high schools. These students are among the brightest that Calhoun County schools have to offer. They have worked hard to develop this device in addition to developing a plan for long-term production to keep our community safe.
They need your help either through direct donations via this GFM or ideas for a fundraising event. We're down to the wire for raising the monies needed to get these students and their chaperones to Boston in June.
The students have prepared a PowerPoint presentation if you would like to meet with the students in a formal setting.
