My name is Rachelle and I’m a widowed mother of 3 asking for financial help for my daughter Aubrey's national cheer competition in Florida. BOTH of her comp teams earned bids to compete and I'm asking for help with expenses.
Many of you may be well aware of the nonstop trauma to our family these last several years but for those that may not, it has been a massive challenge to not drown. If you are seeing this post and don't know my family personally, the highlights are below.
After barely escaping the Camp Fire with a newborn, my husband and youngest child's father Chris was diagnosed with a rare blood cancer that sadly took his life only 8 months later after months of expensive hospitalization. Chris was the most amazing stepfather to Aubrey (and my oldest Vincent) that supported their sports in ways no other man ever did. He worked incredibly hard to always SHOW UP and support the kids physically and financially. With him gone, I am left struggling to keep them in the sports that have been their major source of stability. As a single mama with 100% legal and physical custody for three years now, I have scraped the bottom of the barrel trying to keep this solid foundation in place for the kids. But, being completely on my own, the burden has become much too great. Aubrey needs your help which means I too need your help!
This program for Aubrey has been her constant during these last several years of chaos, grief and loss. It has helped keep her grounded in peer relationships, offered her chances to shine and helped to rebuild and maintain her self-esteem. Aubrey's success has been incredible, but cheer is about so much more than winning multiple titles and awards. She is learning leadership and teamwork while developing grit and a strong work ethic despite the challenges she has endured. Aubrey's resilience is unmatched. Competing in front of these crowds teaches her confidence and many other lessons that can apply to every phase of her life now and in the future.
Aubrey would like to mail out some professional cheer photos to her donors so please make sure to get me your address if you would like one. We have both Zelle and Venmo accounts set up if you prefer to sponsor her more directly. I could not be more proud of my girl’s hard work and the smile that all-star cheer puts on her face makes my eyes well every time. Please help me make her cheer dreams with Chico Cheer this season possible. We cannot do it without you! We need your prayers and shares regardless of what you may or may not be able to contribute financially.
Thank you in advance to those that sponsor Aubrey. It really does take a village and right now, we truly needed to call upon ours.
