Send Anthony to the IBJJF Nationals & Worlds
Donation protected
Hi, I'm Anthony. I have been training in Brazilian jiu-jitsu for about 2 and 1/2 years. I will compete in the International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation (IBJJF) American Nationals and Master's World Championships in July and August, respectively.
After receiving my blue belt in the summer of 2022, I decided to begin competing in various local BJJ tournament promotions. Through consistent effort on and off the mats, I have found great success, winning tournaments all around the northeast, including Long Island, Staten Island, New Jersey, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, and Delaware. Now it is time to move to the big leagues. Every year the IBJJF holds 4-5 major tournaments. The remaining 2 majors for 2023 are the American National Championship and Master's World Championship, both held in Las Vegas.
For some, jiu-jitsu is a form of hobby or form exercise. For many, it is a way they make friends, find community, and achieve a sense of self-defense capability. For a few crazies like myself, it becomes an obsession, a competitive athletic pursuit towards the highest goal possible: becoming a world champion. However, this endeavor can be expensive with registration, flights, hotels, etc. If you want to donate to help the trip, you can do so here. I am immensely grateful for your help and so excited to compete! I am so fortunate to have had tremendous support through this journey so far.
