Andre is a remarkable individual and a proud 20-year survivor of Hodgkin's Lymphoma. Despite his achievements and enduring spirit, he faces significant financial barriers. Living below the poverty line as a person of color, André's story is not just inspiring; it's a call to action. He has overcome numerous challenges, yet continues to contribute positively to our community with his compassion, intelligence, and activism.

Why This Matters

In a nation as wealthy as ours, it’s unjust that access to crucial healthcare resources and opportunities can be so costly. Research indicates that economically disadvantaged patients often experience worse medical outcomes, partly due to barriers like these. By helping André, you're supporting efforts to change this narrative and improve health outcomes for all Hodgkin's survivors, especially those from underrepresented communities.

Our Goal

We aim to raise $2,500 to cover the costs for André to travel from San Francisco to Boston. This will include his flight, hotel, and registration fees for the conference. Every penny raised will directly support his participation, where he will not only gain valuable insights but also share his unique perspective as a long-term survivor and an activist.
