I, Alisha Davidson, am very excited to have qualified for the National Invention Convention in Michigan, but I need your help to get there. My invention is a rigid gas permeable contact that is dyed black in the center the size of a pupil to prevent the need for an eye patch treatment of Amblyopia (lazy eye). The rate of depression that comes with the treatment with a patch is around 40-50% among pre-teens and teenagers. The contact makes it more difficult for other children to detect the child's treatment of Amblyopia. My goal is to develop my idea so that pre-teens and teenagers are not teased or bullied due to the eye patch treatment of Amblyopia. Thank you for your help!
