Send a screenwriter to Spain before he goes senile

Hi, friends and loved ones. I've never done this before, and I feel really weird about doing it now, especially considering the general state of the world and the country and the industry in which so many of my friends and contacts have toiled and struggled these last couple of decades. But after a year of being deeply unemployed and filling the time with copious amounts of writing (short stories, pieces of novels, podcast and TV scripts, a screenplay) I've been offered an incredible opportunity. A very talented and successful acquaintance of mine in the business, the preposterously gifted Martin Olson, (Phineas & Ferb, Rocko's Modern Life etc. etc. & etc.) will be mentoring talents at the Rocaberti writing retreat at the Castell de Sant Mori in Girona, Spain (!) next summer, and on a whim I applied for the program and was accepted on a partial scholarship. Thing is, that scholarship covers 2000 Euros but leaves a remainder of about 4500 Euros for me to come up with, plus airfare and other travel expenses. And I just don't have that, or at least I don't have that unless I forfeit my living space and a bunch of other life expenses. So I'm sticking my hand out like a common beggar and asking if anyone is willing to throw in a few bucks here and there to get me somewhere close to my goal of $8000 to fund this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. And if you do, I can at the very least promise to create a fantastic piece of written entertainment that'll put a smile in your pants when it's inevitably made into a feature film. So...please? Help a brother out?
