Send a Delta student to Disney's Grad Nite!

I teach English at Delta High School -- an amazing continuation high school in Santa Maria, CA. I am blessed to teach wonderful students who all have at least one thing in common: they need to catch up on their high school credits in order to graduate on time. Most of my students are low SES/qualify for free and reduced lunch. After their hard work of catching up and being on-track for a diploma, when the time comes to consider capstone senior experiences (such as Disney's Grad Nite), the cost is a hardship. Grad Nite is a special celebration at Disneyland for seniors who meet certain academic, attendance, and behavioral criteria. Many students look forward to attending Grad Nite to celebrate overcoming the challenges that once prevented their ability to graduate, on time, with a high school diploma. Many of my students have never been to Disneyland before.
Unfortunately, Disney's Grad Nite ticket prices increased this year, from about $140 all the way up to $179 per student. In past years, we have had students pay $150 for their Grad Nite tickets (with the other $10 to help with transportation costs). This year, to try to keep costs for students reasonable and allow students to continue to attend grad nite for $150 only, I am trying to get together some donations to offset the cost.
This means that for every $29 donated, you would be helping a Delta student go to Grad Nite! We expect 30 students to attend, so helping offset their ticket cost is the biggest priority. Anything in addition to this will help pay for the charter bus that will take us to and from Disneyland.
*Also, if you'd like to sponsor a student's entire Grad Nite Ticket, please donate $179. This tremendously helps students who aren't able to afford at ticket at all.*
