Miles from the City, Meters from a Future: Support Madzi Village

Hie my name is Hope Msowoya, I am a soldier in the Royal British army, and I am raising funds on behalf of Elizabeth Msowoya my mother who is the founder of Madzi academy in a rural community in Malawi, southern Africa.

The Journey to School
For most children, the school day begins with a short walk or a bus ride. But for the children of Madzi Academy , the path to an education is carved through, dense bush, and dusty plains. They walk for miles, often on empty stomachs, driven by a single, powerful desire: the chance to learn.

A Sanctuary of Learning
Madzi academy is more than just a building; it is a lifeline. As a 100% charity-funded primary school, we serve a community where education is often a luxury families cannot afford. In this remote corner of the world, our classrooms are the only places where these children are told that their dreams—to become doctors, teachers, or engineers—are actually possible.

The Reality We Face
Despite the passion of our students and the dedication of our teachers, being remote means we are often forgotten. Right now, is struggling to provide the basics.
• Maintaining and finishing remaining school blocks. We have few classes which are not in a good condition and we fail to extend nor maintain them.
• We have few learning and teaching materials that doesn’t tally with the students available. These includes, Books, exercise books or notepads, desks for both students and teachers, chalk boards and blackboards.
• Without a daily meal program, many students are too hungry to focus due to high poverty levels.
• We lack enough money to pay for our teachers salaries as well as pay basic utility bills.
• We also lack funds to purchase enough solar powered lighting materials to help our students study even at night.

How Your Gift Changes a Life
Because we are a charity school, every dollar goes directly toward keeping these children in the classroom. Your donation isn't just "funding"; it is a desk, a warm meal, a textbook, and the salary of a teacher who has dedicated their life to this village.
• £25 can provide a full set of school supplies for one child.
• £100 can help us purchase items like 10 new chairs.
• £500 can fund one of our goals, like our lunch program for a month.

Be the Bridge
Geographical isolation should not mean a child is isolated from their potential. By donating today, you are becoming the bridge between a remote village and a world of opportunity.
Please help us keep the lights on and the pencils moving at Madzi academy. If you cannot donate, please consider sharing our story with your friends and family.

Thank you so much for your support and kindness.
