Team 4004, The M.A.R.S. Rovers (Muskegon Area Robotics Students) is a FIRST Robotics Competition team that operates out of Muskegon, Michigan. FIRST is a worldwide organization devoted to promoting STEM to students of all ages, genders, races, and backgrounds, from Kindergarten through graduation. There are four levels of FIRST. M.A.R.S. is an FRC team, meaning that we cater to highschool students. This year for the First
time of our 8 years, we have qualified for the world championship, conveniently located for the next 3 years in Detroit. This is a very exciting and very sudden development for our team, with only one downside, cost. Currently we have nearly no funding left after our trip to the state championship in Saginaw. The cost of entry to the competition is $5,000 and the cost of hotels rooms are skyrocketing due to an influx of teams from across the world. One major setback for our team is that we have only just found out that we've qualified for the championship, and the competition itself is in less than two weeks. We need your help to cover the cost of this competition and send West Michigan students not just to the championship, but to help us rocket
to the top.
Thank you dearly,
