Support Team Canada 2025 World Nations Cup walking soccer

We are 50 soccer players on the four teams that will represent Canada at the 2025 World Nations Cup of Walking Soccer in October in Torrevieja, Spain.

Walking soccer is a new sport, a modified version of soccer that is played at a slower pace – but it has a huge impact on those that play it. Walking soccer has given us more time to play the sport we love, and to play with a greatly reduced fear of injury. Representing Canada in this sport is an honour and a privilege.

Team Canada, which includes the Men’s Over 50s, Over 60s and Over 70s, and Women’s Over 50 teams, is fundraising to help defray our costs for participating in the tournament. We do not have any corporate sponsorships or similar sources of funding.

We’re hoping to raise $30,000 ultimately, which would provide approximately $600 for each player to help with their expenses, such as tournament fees, team kits, practice field rentals (both here in Canada and in Spain) and ground transportation in Spain. The donations will be pooled and shared equally amongst all the players.

Any amount is greatly appreciated. If you donate, we’ll keep you up to date on the teams’ progress in Spain.
