On October 25, 2025, Jorge’s passing came as a sudden and profound loss to all who loved him.

Jorge E. Marcano Cordero, 53, served with honor as a Marine sniper and later on the security detail for President George H. W. Bush. He was steady, loyal, deeply loving, and he found peace and freedom on his motorcycle. He is survived by his daughters Mónica and Halle, his son Cristian, and his grandchildren Parker and Eli, who were the light of his life.

A memorial service with full military honors will be held at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona in Phoenix on Wednesday, November 12, 2025.

The Veterans Administration covers only a small portion, and the family is responsible for the vast majority of the cost.
