Help AZABACHE, a Retired USMC K9 Hero, Get Lifesaving Surgery
I’m reaching out with a heavy heart and a hopeful spirit on behalf of my retired USMC service dog, Azabache — a true warrior and loyal companion who served beside me in Afghanistan as an Explosive Ordnance Detection K9.
Azabache completed multiple combat tours and was recognized for his courage with commendations in 2015 and 2016. He’s more than a dog — he’s my brother-in-arms, my protector, and my best friend. Together, we made it through situations most wouldn’t imagine. And now, he’s the one who needs backup.
Azabache has been diagnosed with a tumor that requires emergency surgery here in Puerto Rico. The procedure is estimated to cost around $4,000. The VA is stepping in to help with about $900, and I’m doing all I can to cover the rest. But the truth is, we could use a little support to make it happen.
I’m not asking for charity — I’m asking for a fighting chance for a Marine who never backed down when it mattered most. Azabache gave his all to keep others safe. Now, I just want to return that same loyalty and give him the care he’s earned.
If you’re able to contribute, thank you from the bottom of my heart. And if not, please consider sharing his story. Every bit of support helps this hero keep going strong.
Semper Fi.
