Hi, I recently lost my job and have been stuck doing UberEats full time to keep my head afloat, however I need my car in tiptop shape to do this. Currently I have an issue where the rear main seal, which is causing a major oil leak and I need to top off my oil weekly to avoid running my engine dry, and a failing clutch bearing, which could cause my car to have slipping gears if I let it go any longer. Last week I heard an agonizing squealing noise from my clutch bearing as I was driving home, and that has increased my worry for the issues at hand. I have been estimated for $2500 to replace both the rear main seal and have a new clutch kit installed, although it may end up costing less due to the fact that the mechanic I spoke to did the estimate off the top of his head (A clutch kit is not $700), and there's a chance I only need the bearing replaced. If I can get the funds gathered quickly I can get this job done asap and be on the road safely.
